According to the victims, four young men were allegedly deceived by an agent who promised them employment in foreign countries in exchange for payments worth several lakhs. The victims stated that they neither received the promised jobs nor were their money refunded, prompting them to file a complaint.
Following the complaint, a local sub-inspector summoned both parties to the police station on Monday. The victims alleged that they arrived at the police station on time and waited for nearly an hour, but were not taken inside for formal proceedings. Instead, they were directed by the sub-inspector to proceed to a canteen located outside the police station premises to meet the opposing party.
The victims further accused the officer of showing undue favor toward the agent’s side. They claimed that upon reaching the canteen, they found the accused group already present along with a former village head. During discussions regarding the disputed financial transactions, the situation quickly escalated into a heated argument.
The verbal dispute soon turned into a physical altercation, with the victims alleging that members of the agent’s group verbally abused them and also engaged in assault. The situation was eventually brought under control after bystanders intervened and separated both sides. The entire incident was recorded on mobile phones, and the video has since gone viral on social media.
No official statement has yet been issued by the police regarding the incident. Authorities are currently examining the authenticity of the viral video and investigating the allegations raised by the victims. The complainants have demanded a fair and impartial investigation and strict action against those found responsible, while the case continues to draw public attention over concerns of alleged fraud and procedural handling by law enforcement.
